iPad Pro Magic Keyboard Renewed Brief Review
I had the iPad Pro since 2021 without the Magic keyboard, Recently A friend of mine told me they’re on sale Renewed for $139 so I finally got one in 2024 and it’s been a game changer.
After using it for 2 weeks, I can confidently say, If you invested in an iPad Pro and don’t have the Magic Keyboard, what are you waiting for?
It’s called The Magic Keyboard, and it sure is magic. Here’s why:
As soon as you magnetically snap it onto your iPad, it automatically works. There is no fussing with pairing in the Bluetooth settings.
And here is another intangible that to me, is a killer selling point:
It instantaneously works and gets its power from the ipad.
This means you dont have to worry about charging both your ipad and the keyboard. It just simply works without any maintenance.
I’ve had keyboards in the past that i wouldn’t use for a while and the charge would be gone.
Now that concern is eliminated.
Another plus is
The buttons are enjoyable to press. I enjoy the sound of typing and how my fingers feel on them.
Having the touchpad and mouse cursor and buttons are nice although I don’t use them as much as I thought i would. But it’s neat to see the cursor. I saw the cursor in the past when i paired a Bluetooth mouse, but once again, like the my previous keyboards, that Bluetooth mouse had to be paired and separately charged. Now i have a touchpad with buttons without the need to pair or charge instantly so that when inspiration strikes, I can dive right in and not have my flow disrupted with pairing and turning things on.
Also, It’s nice being able to highlight copy and paste with mouse keystrokes instead of having to get my finger perfectly in place in between letters. My hand would always get in the way to be able to precisely see which letter i was on.
When my ipad is in the keyboard, it transforms the entire feel of the ipad and opened it up to be more like a laptop and inproves the productivity. Now i can start to feel like I might actually get the use out of the powerful processor with more advanced applications like video editing now that i can get precision cuts.
The best part though is the convenience of it just snapping on and working without having to establish any connections.
The one downside, and it’s not that big of a downside, is i still have to take it off to use portrait when i want to look at some pictures and documents or if i want to lay down and read the ipad like a book. But that’s ok. It’s no different than undocking a laptop from a docking station.
I wish i had bought this keyboard when I got the ipad originally, but i think i passed due to the high full price when it was new. Buying renewed at $139 still seems like a high price for a keyboard, but the convenience it provides and the seeming transformation and upgrade to the ipad it provides makes it worth every penny. All in all, i love the Magic Keyboard for iPAd Pro and recommend it to everyone.
