Gun violence Mars West Indian American Day Parade In New York
Five people were shot Monday at New York City’s West Indian American Day Parade. The parade kicked off in Brooklyn with thousands of revelers dancing and marching through the borough in one of the world’s largest celebrations of Caribbean culture. Chuck Schumer, Eric Adams and Kathy Hochul were among the prominent politicians who attended the parade.
