Flight and short trip on a Soviet Yak-40 aircraft from Vnukovo to Vologda Vologda Air Enterprise. Due to weather conditions, the plane landed at an alternate airfield in Cherepovets, from where it was decided to take the next flight to Moscow Sheremetyevo on a Severstal CRJ airliner.
The video begins the day before the flight, when the snow cyclone Vanya hit Moscow and the height of the snow cover became about 50 cm. I decided to go to Vnukovo airport by metro because a new station was opened at the airport. I moved to Michurinsky Prospekt and went to Vnukovo airport. I checked in there and got a seat near the window. I am flying with an airline from the city of Vologda, Vologda Air Enterprise. The flight will be on the famous Yak-40 type. Soviet jet baby. Previously, the airline only flew on weekdays, so I did not have the opportunity to use it, but now they have started flying from Vologda even on weekends, which opens up the opportunity to spend the weekend in this beautiful city. The airline also began selling tickets through its website, something it had never done before.
The Yak40 arrived on time, boarded the plane quickly, started the engines, and took off very smoothly. The flight is more than one hour. We started descending in Vologda and the PIC reported that the weather was bad, there was heavy snow, so we would circle around and after some time, if nothing changes, we would go to a reserve. After 15 minutes, the engines began to work harder, the plane began to gain altitude, we flew to an alternate flight to the city of Cherepovets.
After landing in the city of Cherepovets, everyone was told to go to the airport and wait for news. It was snowing heavily. I decided not to wait for it to end, but to buy a ticket for a Severstal Airlines flight and fly to Moscow to Sheremetyevo Airport.
We'll leave the trip to Vologda for next time. Vologda is a great idea to fly to a new city for the weekend. And see the famous carved palisade and other attractions.
