This year, the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution return for the ninth installment of their annual compilation series. A3C Volume 9 will also commemorate A3C’s fifteen year anniversary as a festival rooted in showcasing emerging artists from across the country. The previous editions of the A3C compilation included numerous soon-to-be mainstay artist’s in hip-hop, allowing the series to receive recognition from a variety of outlets, with editors from Apple Music raving, “The A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”

The compilation series has introduced a multitude of artists to fans across the globe including: G-Eazy, A$AP Rocky, Yung Bans, Curren$y, Action Bronson, Vince Staples, Kodie Shane, Buddy, Ab-Soul, Smoke DZA, Rapsody, Dave East, Freddie Gibbs, Lucki, Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Mick Jenkins, $tupid Young, Bali Baby, Sir Michael Rocks, Robb Bank$, Drako, Underachievers, CHXPO, Trapo, Jimmy Wopo, J.K. The first single from this year’s A3C Volume 9 comes from Alabama native Clever, who is quickly poised to become a breakout artist in 2020. With co-signs and upcoming collabs from some of music’s biggest names and street-certified anthems alongside NLE Choppa, Juice WRLD, NoCap, Polo G, and G-Herbo, Clever is melodically defying the boundaries of ‘hip-hop’ and crossing into all genres. After stealing the show on Juice WRLD’s 2019 “Ring Ring,” Clever took the internet by storm with back-to-back bangers including “Stick By My Side” alongside NLE Chopa and “All In” with Polo G and G Herbo. The subsequent viral music videos for each track accumulated tens of millions of views and further solidified Clever’s stronghold on the game.

“Madness” is Clever’s first single of 2020. The J.J. Stevens-produced track has been released alongside a stellar music video shot by director Karltin Bankz in Clever’s home state. Premiered today via WorldstarHipHop, “Madness” explores the complexities of relationships that thrive in chaos. Dubbed “The Music Industry’s Best Kept Secret” by HotNewHiphop, Clever is intent on sharing his gift with the world in 2020 and the release of “Madness” is the first step.
