How to Use Distructor | FL Studio Tutorial
This tutorial is a short walk through of image-lines new plugin Distructor. The plugin looks pretty useful to me so props to image-line for another amazing free plugin for us to use. If you don't know, image-line just released a new update to FL Studio (version 20.6). There's a lot of really cool features with this update that I recommend you check out if you haven't yet. The distortion module features various types of distortion which we can find in various plugins within FL Studio. Distortion plugins used in Distructor include Fruity Fast Distortion, Fruity Blood Overdrive, Fruity Soft Clipper, Fruity Delay 3, and Harmor. We also have 3 new types of distortion which have been added with the introduction of this plugin.
The filter module is taken from FLEX which should be pretty obvious if you have any experience using FLEX. It looks the same and gives us the option to quickly and easily choose between many different filter types and quickly adjust the cutoff frequency and resonance. It also features filters from Fruity Love Philter as well.
The chorus module uses chorus from Fruity Delay 3. In the tutorial I'll briefly go over what chorus is and what each of the knobs do.
The speaker module is based on Fruity Convolver and uses impulse response technology to simulate amp/cab or speaker combinations. This can be a fun sound design tool and maybe something you want to experiment with in your productions.
