I met this lady once whose task every year was to create 24 copies of the same Excel file and update dates and date-related titles on each one of the files manually. One file for each pay period in that year. Then, she also had to send each pay period files to the employees in her company.
I feel so sad when I see people wasting time with tasks like these. With a couple of very simple adjustments, we can make that spreadsheet valid forever, for any pay period, without us needing to keep making copies, adapting them manually and sending out new versions every month.
