Over the weekend, I picked up some fascinating parts that I thought some of you might enjoy from Skycraft Parts & Surplus in Winter Park, FL. I am particularly fascinated with the pneumatic circuit as I used to work on similar circuits on a much larger scale at NASA. They used pneumatic circuits in areas where sparking would be catastrophic. They often used liquid nitrogen in place of air because it is an inert gas with no chance of combusting. Liquid nitrogen is also great for flushing combustion lines and cooling everything down.
I picked up some U.S. Military detonators and a Thermo Stripper that I will be doing a teardown video on. The detonators are fully functional and were used by the U.S. Army for training. I also picked up some latching toggle switches, relays, a couple meters, a Microwave dummy load and a few air rams.
Sorry for the focus issues and the overall shakiness of the video. I've realized that I'm a bit fidgety and I'll try to move around a little less in future videos.
