How to Import a PDF in Premiere Pro | Quick Tutorial!
This tutorial explains how to import a PDF into Premiere Pro. Well, actually you can’t import a PDF into Premiere Pro but there’s a very simple workaround.
Here’s what you need to do:
Since you can’t actually import a file that ends in .pdf into Premiere Pro, you need to take that PDF and turn it into another file type such as PNG (.png), JPEG (.jpg), or PSD (.psd).
Open the PDF in Photoshop. Go to the File menu then choose Save As… and save the PDF as one of the file types mentioned above. If you have a multipage PDF you’ll need to save out each page individually.
Take the new file (PNG, JPEG, whatever it is…) and import that into Premiere Pro.
Note: Sometimes PDFs that are documents don’t actually have a background on them. You may need to add a white background in Premiere Pro. Give me a shout in the comments if you need some guidance on how to do that.
