What is Geophysics?
Have you ever wondered how we know what the inside of our planet is like even though our most advanced drills barely scratch its surface? Or why some places have earthquakes or auroras, but others do not? To investigate those questions and others like them, scientists study geophysics, one of the major branches of geoscience that applies the principles of physics to the study of the Earth.
