In this video, we show 2nd step timing from an outside hitter in transition. The hitter will be on the 2nd of his 4-step approach as the setter touches the ball.
For those of you who are new coaches, the transition phase of the game is when the defensive side (blocking, digging) "transitions" back to offense once the ball is back on their side of the net. We like 2nd step sets in transition, but the quality of the dig will ultimately dictate the tempo.
