Perspectives on EU soil protection
On 5th July 2023, the EU proposed a new Soil Monitoring Law aimed at protecting and sustainably managing soils. Soil health is important for the maintenance of biodiversity and it is essential to integrate soil considerations into forest restoration from the outset of restoration activities.
In this SUPERB/IUFRO Forest Restoration Talk, we investigate soil health, the EU soil protection and monitoring perspective and its important role in forest restoration.
