Various industries have raised concerns about the government directive to shut down 2G and 3G networks. According to guidelines, regulators will stop approving 2G and 3G devices by 31st September. Operators will begin the shutdown of these networks by 1 June next year and the total shutdown is to be completed by 31st December 2027. Companies are concerned about the cost and complexity of upgrading to 4G and 5G compatible systems.
