Moto Cowgirl launches! The brain child of veteran gear designer, Moto Cowgirl combines Stacy Winters’ passions with her profession. “Moto Cowgirl was born with the mission to empower women and make them feel confident while riding,” she explains. “Combining moto and western apparel and making it in the USA because life is better in boots!"
After designing gear for FirstGear, Answer Racing, Roland Sands Design and Can-Am, among others, Winter decided to launch her own business. Despite her success in the corporate world, Stacy never forgot her deep love for riding, which she developed on her grandpa's property in Grants Pass, Oregon, where she rode her first three and four wheelers. Later on, she got her motorcycle license and joined women's riding groups.
“Since I visited my aunt’s ranch as a little girl I have been in awe of the cowgirl and western lifestyle. I grew up in the suburbs of a small town surrounded by powersports. I have collected western apparel for years, both modern and vintage. You can never have too many boots, right? I pull a lot of ideas from those pieces and pay attention to what catches my eye…
“When designing I try to think of confidence and comfort no matter what type of adventure someone may be on. It could be on a motorcycle, dirt bike, side by side or bouncing a 4x4 through the toolies. My goal is to design a fit that can cross all those categories. I noticed the options were slim and decided to combine western styling with moto to create something new.”
In addition to supplying women’s groups, dealers and online fulfillment, Moto Cowgirl also has a retail store in Lake Havasu.
