Go for Challenging mode it's much faster to kill npc's than Heroic. check all Directives except Cool Skills/Pistolero and enable Challenges.
I use regulus exotic pistol but you can also use Assault Rifle of your choice for primary weapon and for secondary Classic M1A or what ever you like.
My Gear:
Mask Punch drunk- headshot
Gloves Contractor-headshot
Kneepads Fox's prayer-headshot
Backpack Providence vigilance(the gift)-headshot/crit chance
Chest Piece Chainkiller-headshot-crit chance
Holster Dodge city
Signature weapon Tact-50
Skill Fire Sticky Bomb for fast wipe after clearing area
Shield Bulwark
