MDI-X Feature on LAN Switch Ports (Part 2)
In this video, I show you that connecting two LAN devices (PC to PC or Switch to Switch) using either a Straight-Through cable is not a problem anymore due to the support of MDI-X by all newer LAN devices. Remember that prior to MDI-X being supported by LAN network ports, a Straight-Through cable was used to connect two devices of different types (PC to Switch and Router to Switch) while a Crossover cable was used to connect two devices of the same type (PC to PC, Switch to Switch, and Router to Router)
