In this video part 2, we have started our conversation with Tape Devices. We have specified how you can specify a backup tape using its physical name while taking backup. We have talked about tape-specific backup and restore options i.e. NOUNLOAD | UNLOAD and REQIND | NOREWIND.

We then continued discussing about Logical Backup devices and have demonstrated how to create one and how to use that logical backup device, in place of actual physical backup device, while taking backups. We talked about advantages of using the Logical Backup Device and discussed about a procedure on how to switch the old physical device with a new one, when we are using Logical Backup Devices.

We briefly discussed about mirrored media sets and also about archiving SQL Server Backups.
