Gen Muhoozi launches construction of new offices
The Army Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has formally launched the construction of a new headquarters for the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs at Mbuya. Flanked by the ministry's undersecretary, Edith Butuuro, Gen Kainerugaba explained that the move would signify a transition for the sector from its initial roots in the 1981-1986 guerrilla struggle into a future with better administration. The structure will be built by the UPDF Engineering Brigade.
