Stop making it so hard! Do this while RECORDING to save TONS of editing time.
Make it easier on yourself (and your editor) with visual cues WHILE YOU'RE SHOOTING.
Put up an X with your arms after a bad take, or thumbs up after a good take. Your editor can scroll through the footage and look for these cues to speed up the process.
You can also flash take numbers, and tell your editor which takes are your favorites.
