That the character of Lieutenant Terry Jeffords was created specifically for actor Terry Crews? Terry Crews isn’t the first actor in the hit sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine to have his character specifically written for him. Chelsea Peretti, who plays Gina Linetti also had a character written into the show so she could star in it. Aside from acting, Terry Crews is also an incredibly talented artist and has spent some of his life working as a courtroom sketch artist. In the show, Sarge is asked to paint a portrait of Captain Holt, which is an alarmingly accurate representation of the Captain. The painting in the show was drawn and painted by none other than Crews himself.
