A passenger was forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight by law enforcement on Sunday after refusing to give up his seat.

The airline had asked for volunteers offering up to $800 for their seat. In the absence of volunteers, they removed 4 passengers by computer price based selection.

One of these selected passengers was violently removed from his seat while onlookers asked them to stop. What prompted them to continue with this ridiculous decision?
