How to View Apple HEIC Photos as Thumbnails in Windows Explorer
HEIC is Apple’s proprietary version of the HEIF or High-Efficiency Image File format. This newer file format found on iOS 11 and above using the iPhone and iPad is intended to be a better way to save your pictures as the file sizes are much smaller than jpg. However, Windows Explorer doesn't recognize the file format and you cannot see thumbnails of the images. Here's how you can fix that problem so your iPhone and iPad Photos work just fine in Windows!
