In this video we download a high poly 1911 pistol which we decimate (we dont need 400,000+ tris) and rig it with bones and perform weight painting.
I'm not an animator or artist by any means (as you will see from the quality of my animations), so this is just a series from a beginner for a beginner where I show the problems I've had during this whole process and fixing issues to hopefully bridge the frustration and intimidation factor for people learning/trying to make game animations.
The animations we make are as listed:
Idle,
Aiming down sights (changing camera FOV smoothly when aiming)
Walking,
Walking while aimed down sights (i forgot to do this one so ill try to remember to make a video for it),
Sprinting (modern warfare style),
Shooting from the hip and Shooting from Aiming down the sights and blending between them via an Animation Montage,
Slide locked to rear on empty,
Emergency reload (when your slide is locked to the rear and you drop your empty magazine).
