Audi A6C5 2.5 TDI manual transmission. It takes a long time to start up on a hot one, or rather, on a warm one, after stopping and idle for 10-40 minutes. There are a lot of reasons, as always with this engine, but the main reason and the simplest one is the starter speed. For normal cranking, hot and warm rpm should be about 200 rpm.
How to check the revs of the starter - remove the connector from the injection pump, look at window 1 of the 1st group of measured values of the engine electronics and turn the engine with the starter. In my case, the revs turned out to be very low - about 139 rpm. After replacing the starter, the revs rose to 186 rpm. This is despite the fact that my battery is installed at only 80A / h instead of 100 A / h.
It was just hot, and I must say that even with such a battery, after replacing the starter, the problems with the start-up disappeared. The engine quickly started up hot and warm after idle.
