Douglass cohabited with his girlfriend, Nicole VanderHeyden, aged thirty-one, a teacher, along with their six-month-old son Dylan, and Nicole's two children from a previous relationship, Mikayla and Tyler. Nicole's absence following a night out raised concerns.
