How to Recover Video Files from GoPro after Crash with Free Software

Get the software:

https://www.docker.com
https://github.com/anthwlock/untrunc

Install the software:

1. Get docker's dmg from docker's website.

2. In a shell (terminal), type:

git clone --depth 5 https://github.com/anthwlock/untrunc && cd untrunc
docker build -t untrunc .
docker image prune --filter label=stage=intermediate -f

Run the software:

docker run -v ~/Desktop/:/mnt untrunc /mnt/ok.mp4 /mnt/broken.mp4

you will need an ok.mp4 file, alongside with the broken.mp4 which you'd like to rescue.
