There is an old debate that is going around and has been for sometime about whether or not you need to do link building to succeed with your website.
Some people say yes, others say no.
At the end of the day, everyone has thought on the topic and I am VERY strongly opinionated about this because I’ve built at least 15-20 websites from scratch and tried it with no links and with a lot of link.
In today’s video I’ll give my opinion on whether or not I think links matter for a website and even show you some things I’ve done on my own websites.

i.To grow very big, yes.

3. Can you do too much link building?
a. I think so based on experience
i. Relevancy was good. Timing was very quick
ii. Took awhile for Google to show love
4. How I approach link building now
a. Focus on content for 6 months
b. Do some small link building (5-10 links)
i. Watch analytics to see what happens. If website is growing, leave it alone.
ii. Once plateau is hit, create another link building campaign
iii. Rinse and repeat. Remember that as you get natural rankings, links will come to your website and link building is needed less and less.
