Look at you reading the description!
This guide is intended to be very chilled, something everyone can follow that doesn't use any tricks or complicated strategies. We're taking it slow, I try to walk as much as possible and check the map and tracker to make it easier for people to follow along.
Below are my basic rules for making this run as easy as possible. This mode is actually a lot easier than it sounds at first, it;s just hard mode really without checkpoints. Save frequently and if things are getting rough, just reload your save but if you follow along I doubt anything will give you too much trouble. Getting OP in this game is still very easy and happens quickly.
The basics for easy money and fast upgrades
Sell excess ammo, the more ammo you hold the less frequent it will drop, money pick ups are quite small in the remake and ammo generally sells for a lot more
Wherever plausible keep at least one weapon empty, it will increase the rate ammo spawns and can be sold
Visit the shop frequently to sell off excess items
Keep at least two heals on you all the time, sell any excess med packs
General combat tips
Early on I really think the golden trio for weapons are the Plasma Cutter, Ripper and Forcegun when you get it. Keep the flamethrower, line gun, contact beam until you get the Force gun to sell their ammo prior
Stasis is your friend, shoot off an arm then use kinesis to impale that arm into the same enemy. Saves an average of 4-5 shots per kill which can be sold for money
Use the environment! Keep an eye out for vent fans, table poles and bix boxes to stun enemies. This can save you a ton of ammo early game and really speed up your upgrades
Abuse stasis recharge stations, keep an eye out on your map for them and use them at every opportunity you get
The Ripper is incredibly powerful once you have the first couple of damage upgrades on it, use this as your main gun and sell off excess ammo for others
As soon as you get the force gun put all other secondary weapons into the storage. Force gun ammo sells for a lot of money and this will get you maxed out very soon
Always back track to the security doors and lockers, keep note of them on your map
Stay mobile! It has harder to stagger enemies in the remake so don't bottleneck yourself
You can really play it safe by going for 100% with all the extras as the max security does give some really good benefits but it's not essential.
