TED CASABLANCA : THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION

Ted Casablanca is a newly established contemporary art gallery with an added concentration on west-coast American art. Gallery Director Bruce Bibby curates this progressive exhibition space from a family of artists all of whom possess highly refined skills as well as a transformative vision.
The entirety of the Ted Casablanca collection, has a heady conceptual personality as a personification of Palm Springs. Painting, performance, sculpture, photography and functional furnishings conjure the cultural identity of the desert as well as its unique geographical anomalies.
The opening exhibition: ‘The Art of Transformation’ is now on exhibit until January 1st. Hundreds of locals including celebrity photographer Michael Childers, renowned male nude photographer Tom Bianchi, designer Charles Hollis Jones, and political and financial personality Ben Stein attended the opening night to celebrate and support the Gallery’s launch into the Palm Spring community.
Over the duration of each show at Ted Casablanca, Bruce Bibby will take an innovative approach to this art space. It is part of his vision to offset the rigid format of a traditional gallery. The space will stay in a state of constant transition.
About the owner: Bruce Bibby, aka Ted Casablanca, wrote the highly popular "Awful Truth" gossip column about Hollywood for over two decades. It was a vastly read breezy and no-holds-barred take on the entertainment community that helped put online entertainment journalism on the map. Ted was an artist before he became a journalist, and in addition to just having completed a prurient novel about Hollywood, decided to concurrently return to his first love, the art world. He has collected art for many years and finds visual voice equally as compelling as the written word.
