Target Audience
This activity is targeted toward physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers and other clinicians in the practice of adult and pediatric primary care, behavioral health and psychiatry.
Statement of Need
As we emerge from a year of pandemic life, the effects can be everlasting on providers and patients, resulting in burnout and compassion fatigue. This symposium will address key methods of addressing these issues, and provide technological resources for providers. Additionally, the use and misuse of stimulants and benzodiazepines will be addressed.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this lecture, the participant will be able to:
1) Define resilience, post traumatic growth and trauma informed care.
2) Understand current efforts to build resilience in our community and organization.
3) Identify ways to build resilience in your clinical environment and with your patients.
