THE DORPER SHEEP ARE IN MY GARDEN!! I am using my Dorper sheep to graze our cover crops in the garden. By using the sheep to graze off our cover crops I am giving my flock of Dorper Sheep a mid-winter nutrient boost and terminating our cover crop without tillage. Our garden cover crop was rye grass, vetch, clover. The Dorper sheep enjoyed grazing the cover crop, but we did need to budget how much they were able to graze at one time. Too much of this crop at one time can cause the sheep to bloat and become ill.
