Beer Review 80: Heady Topper - The Achemist
Pours a hazy amber-orange in color, the head disapates quickly, a little lacing on the glass. LOTS OF BIG FLOTIES in the glass. Fantastic Aromas of pine resin, floral and herbal hops, and loads of fruits. Citrus, sweet orange, sweet ruby red grapefruit, tropical fruits, pineapple, sweet malts. Taste pretty much follows the nose. Christian says this beer has Zest & Zap! He also describes the floaties as "Skittles" because we keep getting bursts of different flavors as we drink the beer. You have to get past the desire to dump the beer when you see all the chucks floating in the beer, because this is definitely a Must Try Beer!
