Rabbit snuffling
Rabbit eating breakfast and snuffling for crunchies! Thank you to Susan for sending him this snuffle mat so he could do a snuffle mat review! The rabbit gets very excited for his first breakfast (crunchies) and his second breakfast (vegetables)! The rabbit runs downstairs excitedly and careens around the corner into the kitchen. The rabbit is learning tricks, like standing up on his hind legs, and learning to come when called.
Sniffing is an important way for rabbits to get to know the outside world. They “see” the world through their noses just like our see the world through our eyes. So this is the nature of rabbits. A snuffle mat can encourage dogs’ natural instinct, let them have fun exploring.
What is snuffling? What is a snuffle? Snuffling is when you breathe noisily through the nose due to a cold or crying, or (especially of an animal) to make repeated sniffing sounds as though smelling at something. Why do animals snuffle? Because it's fun!
A snuffle mat stimulates a rabbit's powerful sense of smell and is built to stimulate a rabbit’s natural foraging instincts by mimicking the hunt for food in grass and fields.
