A pillow is not only a necessary attribute for sleeping, but is also a bright accent in the interior. This is the most inexpensive type of room modification. Without major renovations, you can completely remodel the room. Pillows placed on the sofa, armchairs and even on the floor give the space a lived-in look.
Often, when sewing curtains, pieces of fabric remain and this is great; they are perfect for making decorative pillows.
From one type of fabric you can sew several pillows of different styles or combine them with other colors.
A pillow in the shape of a rose looks luxurious and attractive. It is created from small squares of 10x10 cm.
Master Class:
First you need to cut out the base on which the pieces will be attached. For a pillow 40x40 cm I took fabric measuring 43x43 cm.
Start work from the middle. To do this, I placed a small piece of fabric in the center and drew a pentagon in the middle with sides of approximately 4–5 cm.
How to start:
I folded a 10x10 cm square diagonally with the satin side and applied it to one side of the pentagon, stitched it with a semicircular line. Due to the fact that the fabric is folded diagonally, a slight drapery is obtained.
In order not to cut the threads after each part, I drove the machine in reverse to make room for the next petal.
When I stitched the first 5 petals, I moved on to the second row. Now I folded the squares with the other, non-shiny side of the fabric. I stitched the second row in exactly the same way. Next I alternated the sides of the fabric.
So row by row it turned out to be a rose. If you have fabrics of different colors, you can combine them.
After the space for the petals of the circle ran out, I attached the petals in the corners.
I cut off the excess fabric and sewed a pillowcase.
