Today we are taking a look at the AK-101, an often overlooked weapon that combines the modding flexibility of the AK platform with the power of 5.56 ammo. The AK 101 vs M4 decision places the 101 in the sweet spot between the 5.56 MDR and a nicely modded M4, giving you the ability to get the recoil to at least 50 with level 3 traders and the flea without spending a great deal.

For those without level 3 traders, I would still recommend the MDR but given a nicely modded M4 costs a lot of money (especially the need to have a suppressor to reach the better recoil levels), the AK-101 is a nice compromise between the two.

We take a look at the meta ak 101 and lowest recoil varieties, before building one that costs around 80-90k before scopes that has 66 ergo and 50 recoil. With the lower firerate of the 101, you can get away with lower recoil than the M4, where 50 is just about useable!
