In this video, I share my thoughts on the One Piece live action series on Netflix, which is based on the popular manga and anime by Eiichiro Oda. I focus on the potential casting and plot of season 2, which has been confirmed by the showrunners Matt Owens and Steven Maeda¹.

One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates, the Straw Hats, as they search for the legendary treasure One Piece and pursue their dreams. Season 1 of the live action series covered the first two arcs of the manga, the Romance Dawn Arc and the Orange Town Arc, introducing the main characters and setting up the world of One Piece. The series received positive reviews from critics and fans, who praised the performances, writing, visual effects, and fidelity to the source material²³.

Season 2 is expected to adapt the next two arcs of the manga, the Syrup Village Arc and the Baratie Arc, which will introduce new characters and challenges for the Straw Hats. One of the most anticipated characters is Portgas D. Ace, the older brother of Luffy and a powerful pirate in his own right. Ace is a fan favorite character who has a major role in the later arcs of the manga. I think that Arthur Falco, a young actor from South Africa, would be a great choice to play Ace. He has the look, the charisma, and the acting skills to portray Ace's personality and abilities. He also has some connections to the show, as he worked as an artist on the set of the Dark Tower, which was also filmed in South Africa and produced by Tomorrow Studios, the same company behind One Piece⁴⁵.

Another character that I'm excited to see in season 2 is Nico Robin, a mysterious archaeologist who has a dark past and a unique power. Robin is a complex and intriguing character who joins the Straw Hats later in the story. I think that Erin Maloney, an American actress and model, would be a perfect fit for Robin. She has the beauty, the intelligence, and the elegance that Robin possesses. She also has some rumors that she auditioned for the role, as the showrunner Matt Owens followed her on Instagram⁶ . She is not very experienced in acting, but she has the potential to grow and impress us with her performance.

I have high hopes for season 2 of One Piece, as I think it will continue to deliver a faithful and entertaining adaptation of the manga. I trust the showrunners Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, who are both fans of the manga and have experience in writing and producing successful shows, such as Luke Cage, Agents of SHIELD, Lost, and CSI: Miami . They have also consulted with Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, who gave them his approval and guidance. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in season 2, and I hope you enjoyed this video. Please like, comment, and subscribe for more One Piece content. Thank you for watching.
