Why Cars Are Made to Go Faster Than Legal Limits? Why do cars have 200MPH Top Speeds if they can't even go past 80MPH Speed Limits? The answer is because, I bought the whole speedometer, so I'm going to use the whole speedometer...err I mean.
Just because a car can go 200MPH, doesn't mean it needs to 24/7. Most Cars with high top speeds are geared in a way so their transmission and engine aren't redlining 24/7 and stressing their internals and causing premature wear.
