Kunlun is a famous term when it comes to fiction or legends in combination with Daoist Immortals. Kunlun as in Kunlun Mountain is of course very real.
As much as I am totally into rare and mythical martial arts sects, it seems totally unclear how much and if a Kunlun School really existed. Years ago I saw some other Kunlun Boxing that reminded a bit of Older Taiji that focused more on Internal Cultivation, yet I couldnt really say how far it goes back.
From the little that its transmitted: At the end of the Qing Dynasty a man from Shangdong called Huang Huilong transmitted the Arts. According to their own transmissions they are now at least in the 76th Generation.
Which would imply that the Arts were transmitted secretly for most of its History.
