Hi guys this is channel f&D in this video I'm going to show you guys How to fix VLC grey screen problem | how to fix vlc player stutter and lag when playing hd mkv file. When you are playing HD files in vlc you may experience stutter and lag or you may see a gray screen while playing HD files. In this video i will show you how to fix it using 3 different methods

FIRST METHOD - Disable hardware accelerate decoding
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Open VLC
2) Goto tools and then go to preference
3) Select inputs / codecs and change hardware accelerated
decoding to disable
4) And click on save

SECOND METHOD - Set file caching (ms) to 1000
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Open VLC
2) Goto tools and then go to preference
3) Then select "all"
4) Then select input / codecs
5) Now set file caching (ms) to 1000
6) And click on save

THIRD METHOD - SET SKIP THE LOOP FILTER FOR H.264 DECODING TO ALL
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Open VLC
2) Goto tools and then go to preference
3) Then select "all"
4) Then select input / codecs
5) Now select video codec below input / codecs
6) And select FFmpeg and set skip the loop filter for h.264
decoding to "all"
7) Click on save
