Chances are you've either visited La Jolla California or you've heard about this area, for one reason or another. This relatively small village known for its upscale lifestyle, beautiful coastline and boutique shops, is world renowned. The name (translated from Spanish) means, the jewel.
Walking around town, I decided to highlight a hybrid of modern luxury labels within unique retail categories. One banner that I have been fond of, is the Life is Good brand. I'll also include a link to tell a lil about their amazing history. As well as the charming We Olive store as it reminded me of my olive oil video I published (last Summer) in Spain.
All neatly peppered between sporadic corporate labels such as: Ace Hardware, Sunglass Hut, Lululemon, etc, just to name a few.
I really enjoyed rolling through these well-known streets (i.e., Girard Ave, Prospect Street, etc) to capture the content for this week's video.
Combined with the oldest local store (in its original structure) called The Cave Store. This place was constructed in 1902 and offers almost every tourist gift one can dream up. The kicker is it has a 145 step tunnel (leading down) to a cave ending at the Pacific Ocean. Just wow!
Great times dancing through La Jolla (this week) as hopefully you tag along as we move the Nick-a-Palooza 2023 Summer Tour over to Denver next week.
The Retail Nomad is on da move!
