shrimp head ramen 🍜 ~
I had some shrimp in the fridge and was craving ramen, so here’s what I made!
It’s slightly more of a hassle, but I highly recommend to buy shrimp with the shell and head intact. Those shells and shrimp heads can be used to make an extra flavorful broth - which is what I did here.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the seasoning packets from your favorite ramen. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and let cool, then peel the shrimp. The shells should still have more flavor, so you can keep it in the fridge or freezer for future use. Add the shrimp heads back into the pot for more flavor, then cook the noodles. Lower the heat and add back the shrimp and canned coconut milk (or any milk of choice) to make it extra creamy.
Those shrimp heads have a lot of flavor, so don't waste it and bite all of the juice out!
