How to make vertical videos from standard videos in Davinci Resolve
Just a quick video to show you how to create YouTube shorts in Davinci Resolve 18 by just using your standard timeline and then converting the video into a vertical one. This only takes a few clicks but can make it a lot simpler to create shorts based on your main content. Resolve now makes this far easier. All you need to do is adjust project settings so that they are at 1080 x 1920 resolution (tick the vertical box) and then use the inspector the resize and scale to "fill" the view. You can then simply export the video and it will render at the right format for YouTube shorts, Tiktok, Instagram Reels and other things that need vertical videos. Simple.
