Chapter 3 Setting Up Your Development Environment
Now that you know the basic concepts of Java, let’s get our hands dirty and run our fist Java application. In this chapter, we will teach you how to setup and work with the Eclipse Integrated Development environment. We will start by saying a few words about Integrated Development Environments or IDEs. We will then give you a demo of how to develop your first Java Application in Notepad. We will also discuss how to choose an IDE.
The chapter will conclude by illustrating how to install and use Eclipse, which will be our IDE of choice.
