In this talk, Muhammad Arslan discussed the importance of audit logs in the dataflow, especially in scenarios where multiple users modify business-critical data. The focus was on how they built a centralized audit logging platform capable of handling changes across various data models, using managed cloud services like Kafka (MSK) and OpenSearch (Elasticsearch) for scalability. The architecture and a demo of the audit log service, including data search on OpenSearch, were presented.
