Maldives Liveaboard 'Best of Central' trip 2024 - MY Princess Sara
We toyed with many ways to describe how we felt about this Liveaboard - while we did see many amazing big things underwater, we also saw needless feeding of sharks, dead and bleached corals everywhere, the damage that the all mighty tourism dollar has done to the atolls, cowboy diving practices and just way too many divers at many of the sites. Those are a few of the lowlights. The highlights - Tiger Sharks and a Great Hammerhead, many other species of shark, the boat itself was very nice, and we got to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary night diving and snorkelling with mantas. Was the trip worthwhile? In short, for us yes. We wanted to do something special for our anniversary and the night manta dive was very special. Will we ever venture back to the Maldives? Nope.
