Double Circular can be used in mid air and I even tried that. This damn boss seems to favor hovering over holes so that plan didn't go well. I got probably spend two hours throwing knives at it though...
Rank 7 Photon Sword 'Masamune' is dropped from "Humanoid Heavy" (Muscular Sword-using mob) in SBC Glocken's Dungeon on Extreme Mode. One of the color variations it can come in is red.
