In this video I walk you through the steps and show you how you can check the domain authority of a website for free using a free Moz account alongside the chrome extension called Mozbar.

Domain authority is a score given to website domains from SEO software company Moz. The score is out of 100, 100 being the highest level of authority.

Domain authority is not an indication of how Google sees your website but it's the only consistent score we have when looking at the power of links.

So when you're reaching out to websites to build links, the domain authority can give you a relatively good indication as to whether or not the website will improve your backlink profile or not.
