Here is a completely new way of installing macOS esp. Catalina on VMware Workstation Pro.
You will never need to add smc.version ="0"
Change Operating System to Windows 10, temporarily.
No need to be stuck in the Apple Logo for hours.
No need of figuring out this pointed error in the vmware.log file:
"DictionaryLoad: Cannot open file "C:\ProgramData\VMware\vCenterServer\cfg\vsphereFeatures\techPreview.cfg": The system cannot find the path specified."
