Present day Sudan. Ancient Egypt. Lost beneath flood waters after the Aswan dam was built, the ruins of the Buhen Fortress are some of the most impressive submerged ruins built by the Egyptians. Started roughly 3900 years ago, there also appears to be an earlier history here and it has to do with Copper manufacturing.
