So with the latest update to Tarkov a new 3.5x scope was added to the game (SwampFox Trihawk Prism Scope 3x30), along with a new body for the SV98 sniper rifle. Since the SV98 is a fairly cheap sniper to get a hold of it begs the quest of if this is a potentially budget meta pick for those doing sniper quests. I put the new SV98 to the test in this video and I have to say it was a lot of fun, the swampfox is a 3.5x optic and its perfect for close to medium range aggressive sniping. I was trying out a bunch of different setups for this gun to see which optic and attachment combo I liked the most. Bolt actions inherently put you at a massive disadvantage, because you only really get 1 shot drop someone close range before they start shooting back and you’re completely defenceless.. so its safe to say finding the right setup for your guns is pretty important, especially for snipers.
