This is issue may happen when using heavy duty vsts. These vsts usually deal with large sample files and from time to time you may experience some quality loss or distorted audio when loading patches or presets.
This commonly happens with Native Instruments Kontakt because most of the libraries you but that are compatible with Kontakt are sample based. In this video, ill show you how to get rid of the crackling/distortion noise that happens within the vst. This will also work for any other vst that is giving you similar issues. Hope it helps!
